ABOUT
ANNETTA TANG

I am committed as an individual and under Zarya Counselling to stand up for social justice issues. I stand in unity with Black Lives Matter and embed an anti-racist approach. I am a member of BAATN (Black, African & Asian Therapy Network).
From my work I see how diverse children, parents, and families can be. I support a variety of family structures that differ from the nuclear family. Enquiries are welcome from people of any gender and sexuality.
Training & Experience
As an Integrative Arts Child Therapist, I am able to work in a way that is responsive to each child and their own needs, rather than using a single approach for all.
I draw on a number of theories and traditions of therapeutic work including: Art Therapy, Attachment Theory, Play Therapy and Person-Centred approaches. I like working systemically and enjoy strengthening relationships between parent(s) and child(ren).
I am registered with BACP and I work within their ethical framework as a Therapist.
I hold the below qualifications:
-
Diploma in Child Counselling (Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education)
-
Postgraduate in Therapeutic Arts
-
Counselling Certificate
-
Adult Safeguarding Certificate
-
Children Safeguarding Certificate

The age range I work with are:
Children (5-13 years old)
Young Adults (14-24 years old)

I am West London based and work both face to face and online. Online sessions will be via Zoom, as long as there is a confidential space at home to use.
